Ali Khan is a professional cricketer, who was born in Pakistan but plays for the United States of America. He was raised in the USA and therefore represents the USA. In January 2016, Ali played his List A debut match for the ICC Americas side in the 2015-16 Regional Super50. He grabbed the wickets of Devon Thomas and Aldane Thomas in his debut match against Jamaica. He finished with stats as 2 wickets for 63 runs in 10 overs. Ali was the only member of the ICC Americas squad who had not previously represented his country. He was one of eleven uncapped players selected to a USA selection camp in July 2016. This was before the 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Four event in October.

Ali was selected to the United States side for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three event in Oman in October 2018. Ali was declared one of the five breakout stars in men’s cricket by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2018. After that, for their series against the United Arab Emirates, he was selected to the United States’ Twenty20 International (T20I) side in February 2019. He was on the roster, but failed to play due to injury concerns. He was selected to the United States squad for the 2018-19 ICC World Twenty20 Americas Qualification competition in Morrisville, North Carolina, in August 2018.

On April 27, 2019, Ali played his ODI debut match for the United States against Papua New Guinea in the ICC tournament’s third-place playoff. He  took 17 wickets in just six matches and became the tournament’s highest wicket-taking bowler. Before this, h e was awarded as player of the match for taking five wickets for 63 runs in 10 overs. The United States ended the event in the top four spots. He was selected to the United States squad for the Regional Finals of the 2018-19 ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualification competition in August 2019. In the 2019 Global T20 Canada event, he was also chosen to play for the Vancouver Knights franchise side.

At the time of the Caribbean Premier League in 2019, Ali Khan was fined because of the heated argument with batsman Evin Lewis during a match between the Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. He was selected to the Trinbago Knight Riders roster for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League in July 2020. During the 2021 Minor League Cricket season, he was signed by the Houston Hurricanes. Ali Khan in his International career of cricket has played a total of 15 matches including two formats of the game. In his 9 One Day International (ODI) matches, took 19 wickets with an economy of 4.26. In T20 International (T20I), he has taken 5 wickets in 6 matches with an economy of 6.93.
