The massive knock of 162 (57) against the Knights in the CSA T20 Challenge featured 13 boundaries and 13 maximums. Brevis hammered the Knights’ bowling all over the park, leaving them perplexed, scoring at a strike rate of 284.21, leading his team to a massive total of 271 runs in 20 overs. Brevis reached his century in just 35 balls, breaking the record for the fastest-ever domestic T20 century. It was also the fifth-fastest T20 century of all time and the third-highest score in the game’s shortest format.

on Monday, October 31. Dewald Brevis, 19, made headlines in the cricket community when he scored 162 runs off just 57 balls in the 25th game in the CSA T20 Challenge 2022–2023. As he imitated the skills of his idol and fellow countryman, AB de Villiers, he gained the nickname “Baby AB” for his flamboyance and bravery. Brevis first came to people’s attention in January of this year at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he dazzled everyone with his all-around skills.
