Warwickshire will play against Nottinghamshire in the 42nd match of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 at the Edgbaston in Birmingham on June 3. Warwickshire have won four games out of five and they are placed in the second position in the rankings of the North Group as well. On the other hand, Nottinghamshire have been able to win only two matches out of five matches and they are placed seventh in the standings of the North Group as well.
Warwickshire had played against Derbyshire in their last match, where Warwickshire where Derbyshire got off to a good start with a decent scoring rate. They did not lose too many wickets in the middle overs and they could push their scoring rate towards the end of the innings as well. Tom Wood gave an excellent finish, which helped Derbyshire put up a total of 174 runs for the loss of five wickets as well. Warwickshire, in reply, did not have a good start as they had lost four quick wickets in the powerplay for 43. Meanwhile, a good sixth wicket partnership also failed to recover from the early setbacks, and Derbyshire won the match in the end by 17 runs as well.
On the other hand, Nottinghamshire play against Worcestershire in their last encounter, where Worcestershire had a great start with batters contributing well with the bat. However, they had an opening partnership of 98 runs within seven overs, and they posted a massive total of 226 runs. In the chase, Nottinghamshire also had a good start; but other than their openers, nobody could manage to have a good score. Only three of their batters could reach a double-digit score, and the team was bundled out for 170 and Worcestershire won the match by 56 runs as well.
