Middlesex will take on Surrey in Lord’s, London in the 3rd game of South Group in the ongoing Vitality T20 Blast 2023. This is going to be their first match in the South Group as well. However, the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 started on Saturday, May 20 with a double-header that saw Birmingham Bears play against Yorkshire Vikings and Derbyshire Falcons took on Lancashire Lightning.
However, a total of 18 teams are playing in the upcoming season of the competition and these sides have been divided into two groups of nine teams each as well. The North Group features teams like Birmingham Bears, Derbyshire Falcons, Durham, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northants Steelbacks, Notts Outlaws, Worcestershire Rapids, and Yorkshire Vikings whereas the South Group comprises Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, and Sussex Sharks. Both groups will play 14 games – seven at home and seven away – from May 20 to July 2. A total of 133 matches will take place, including the semi-finals and final.
The tournament won’t be seen on television. However, it will be live-streamed on Sony LIV.
