Durham will take on Lancashire in the 34th match of the Vitality Blast 2023 at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on June 2. Durham have won two of their three games so far and they are placed in the fourth position in the rankings of the North Group. Meanwhile, Lancashire have won three out of their five games so far and are placed third in the points table as well.
Durham had played against Nottinghamshire in their last match, where Durham had started well with a good scoring rate. Moreover, their middle order did exceptionally well. However, they could manage 168 runs for the loss of six wickets. In reply, Nottinghamshire started well than their counterparts and they were always above the required run rate too. They did not lose too many wickets and chased down the total with five balls and five wickets in hand.
On the other hand, Lancashire played against Yorkshire in their last match where Yorkshire started in a great way with an opening partnership of 88 runs. The middle order did well and they helped them push to a huge total of 195 runs as well but Dawid Malan starred with the bat and he scored 83 off 50 balls. Meanwhile, Lancashire did not have a good start and their middle order did most of the scoring, but their efforts went in vain as they fell short of 15 runs. However, an interesting match is likely to take place as well.
