Jaydev Unadkat, the Indian left-arm pacer, found a new club in the IPL 2023 auction after Lucknow Super Giants signed him for a base fee of 50 lakhs. The left-arm bowler was picked up by a franchise for the 11th time in the IPL auction.
Jaydev Unadkat made his debut for the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010 and has since played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. He returned to KKR in 2016, only to find himself with a new team the following year, as the Rising Pune Super Giants signed him in the 2017 auction. His switch to the Pune-based franchise was pivotal in his career, as he returned with 24 wickets in just 12 matches. His outstanding performance for Pune prompted RR to spend a record 11.4 crores in the 2018 auction. Unfortunately, he did not live up to their expectations and was purchased for less money by the same franchise in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
