Top performers in Vijay Hazare Trophy semifinals 2022-23

Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022-23 has come to its final stage where Saurashtra will take on Maharashtra in the final on December 2, Friday.

Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022-23 has come to its final stage where Saurashtra will take on Maharashtra in the final on December 2, Friday. However, as far as the semi-finals are concerned, Assam, Maharashtra, Saurashtra, and Karnataka have battled to reach the final of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. While the ever-consistent Karnataka took on Saurashtra, Assam played against Maharashtra as well.

Ravikumar Samarth

Ravikumar Samarth has been one of the key players for his side Karnataka. He once again played an anchor’s role for his side with a stable 88 which came off 135. Although he hit only 4 boundaries and a six, his steady knock laid the foundation for his side and helped the side to post 171 runs in their allotted overs as well.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been in sublime form with the bat. He has scored yet another century in the semi-final against Assam. His 168 runs came off 126 balls which also included 18 boundaries and 6 sixes as well. His stunning knock helped his side put up 350 runs in their allotted 50 overs as well.

Swarupam Purkayastha

Swarupam Purkayastha played a crucial knock for his side, Assam. While chasing 351, he played a key knock of 95 off 87 with 10 fours and a six. Apart from him, Rishav Das scored 53 and Sibsankar Roy scored 78 but their efforts were not enough as they could only manage 338 and eventually lost as well.
