While the match tied, Nellai Royal Kings won the match in the super over. Meanwhile, the second game will take place between Dindigul Dragons and Ruby Trichy Warriors on June 24 at the Indian Cement Company Ground in Tirunelveli.
However, the tournament which has given talented players like Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Chakravarthy and others, will see a total number of 32 cricket matches (28 league games + playoffs and final) taking place in the TNPL 2022. The Indian Cement Company Ground, Tirunelveli, the NPR College Ground, Dindigul, the SNR College Cricket Ground, Coimbatore, and the Salem Cricket Foundation Stadium, Salem will host all the games. While Chepauk Super Gillies have won the title thrice, Salem and Madurai have won it once to date. The fifth match of this competition will be played between Lyca Kovai Kings and Dindigul Dragons on Sunday, June 26 at Indian Cement Company Ground in Tirunelveli at 7.15 PM as well.
