The league stage games of the T20 Blast 2022 have come to their end-stage where Sussex will play against Essex in their upcoming fixture on Friday, July 1 at County Ground in Hove. Sussex is placed at the third from the bottom of the points table with 8 points to their name from 4 wins and 8 defeats as well. On the other hand, Essex is currently placed at third on the points table and they have 15 points to their name after having won only 7 games and losing 4 as well.

In their last game against Kent, Sussex lost by 6 wickets which was Kent’s third win in the tournament. Kent restricted Sussex to 158, not letting the batting unit score much. Ali Orr top-scored with 36, but a late cameo from George Garton of a 16-ball 31 helped them to reach over 150. Joe Denly then led Kent’s chase with a 39-ball 58 at the top. Skipper Sam Billings’s 33-ball 43, along with George Linde (24) saw that they reached the finish line in 18.5 overs as well.

On the other hand, Essex beat Surrey in their last game but they remained at the top despite their 43-run defeat to Essex, who moved to third place as well. Michael Pepper (48) and Phil Walter (49) top-scored for Essex as they post 198 on the board. Reece Topley returned with 4-37, restricting them to getting a total of over 200. Surrey, in reply, never got the start after losing Jason Roy in the first over. Jamie Smith, Rory Burns and Chris Jordan got starts but couldn’t contribute beyond the 30s, finishing with 155/9 with Aaron Beard returning 4-29 as well.

Indian viewers can live stream the T20 Blast 2022 on the Fan Code app. The ECB will again host live streams of every match on the ECB website and ECB app while Sky Sports is set to broadcast 19 matches throughout the group stage, with each county set to feature at least twice before the four quarter-finals and Finals Day. It will also be available via BBC Local Radio stations with extensive coverage also on 5 Live Sports Extra.
