Middlesex lost their last game to Surrey after an all-round show from Sunil Narine handed Surrey over a seven-wicket win, taking Surrey to the top of the points table while chasing down Middlesex’s 156 in 15.1 overs as well. After opting to bowl, Surrey restricted Middlesex to 155, with Luke Hollman top-scoring with 31. In reply, Sunil Narine’s unbeaten 51 off 29 took the team home, alongside Ollie Pope who played an unbeaten 37. Meanwhile, opener Will Jacks also gave them a solid start with a 20-ball 43 as well.

Meanwhile, Essex are placed in third place after an 11-run win over Sussex where all of Essex’s batters scored runs, but the standout was Daniel Sams who batted at No. 6 and smashed 71 off just 24 balls.
