The group league games of the T20 Blast 2022 have come to their end. On June 24, Friday Durham will take on Nottinghamshire in their upcoming fixture at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street. Durham is placed second from the bottom of the points table with three wins and seven defeats alongside 7 points in their name. Nottinghamshire, meanwhile, is placed the third from the bottom with three wins and six defeats as well.
However, in their last game, Andrew Tye’s five-wicket haul went in vain as Wiaan Mulder and Rehan Ahmed took Leicestershire to a 51-run win against Durham. Mulder first scored a brilliant 33-ball 54 whereas wickets fell in quick successions as Tye returned with the figures of 5-38. Ahmed then dismantled the middle order as Durham failed to recover from the early strikes with Paul Coughlin top-scoring with 22 and they were eventually bowled out for 106 in 16.4 overs.
Meanwhile, 44 (61) from Steven Croft, alongside Dane Vilas’s 30-ball 55 helped the total as Nottinghamshire won by 6 wickets as well. Lancashire, meanwhile, tops the table after chasing down Nottinghamshire’s 179 on the back of Samit Patel (45 off 36) and Daniel Christian (30* off 14) as well.
