Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans have been left wanting of English all-rounder Sam Curran after his brilliant all-round performance for Surrey in the ongoing T20 2022 Blast. Curran, adjudged the player of the match, against Hampshire in the Group C match at the Kennington Oval, London on Thursday scored 69 runs and returned figures of 5/30 to help his side clinch victory by 72 runs.
Surrey top-order fired against Hampshire to take them to a mammoth total of 228/4 after being asked to bat. Opener Will Jacks (64), Sam Curran (69), Laurie Evans (25 not out), Sunil Narine (52) were the major contributors for the side with the former CSK all-rounder top-scoring with the bat. He notched up five boundaries and as many sixes in his 38-ball fiery cameo.

Curran featured for CSK in 2020 and 2021 before he was released from the side. He was an integral member as he played 32 matches in the IPL (23 for CSK), taking as many wickets and scoring 337 runs at a strike rate close to 150
