Sri Lanka will take on Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Sunday, September 11. Sri Lanka beat Pakistan in Match 6 of the Super 4 stage as well. While the former beat India and Afghanistan in the Super 4, Pakistan beat India and Afghanistan and lost to Sri Lanka in the Super 4 points table.

However, Sri Lanka started their campaign in the Asia Cup 2022 with a defeat against Afghanistan. But they bounced back stronger with wins over Bangladesh, Afghanistan and India. Pakistan, on the other hand, lost their only match in the Group Stage against India but clinched wins against Hong Kong, India and Afghanistan as well.
