Sri Lanka will host Australia for the two-match Test series, starting from June 29 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium. The second and final Test will begin from July 8. It will be a part of Australia’s full tour to the island nation. The full tour includes three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Test matches.
The tour was in doubt for a long time due to political tension in the island nation due to their economic crisis but with the situation stabilizing in the recent time, Australia decided to visit the country. Australia began their campaign with a 2-1 victory in the T20I series but the hosts bounced back in the ODI series with a 3-2 win. With the limited-overs series, concluding with evenly matched results, the focus will shift to the Test series.
