Aiden Markram will lead the South African side and West Indies will be led by Rovman Powell
South Africa will lock horns with the West Indies in the 2nd T20I at the SuperSport Park in centurion on the 26th of March 2023. West Indies have not played a T20I since the World Cup in Australia, which saw them exit from the competition in the qualifiers. The Windies will like to turn things around in the T20I series away from home and win this series under the new leadership of Rovman Powell. West Indies have a formidable unit in the shortest format of the game and have the ability to thrash opponents on their day. They have plenty of match winners who can win them a match singlehandedly. West Indies will come hard in this encounter and look to change their fortune.
Aiden Markram will lead the South African side as Bavuma has been dropped from the T20 side. The star batter guided Sunrisers Eastern Cape to SA20 to win the trophy in the inaugural season. He scored 366 runs from just 12 innings to win the Player of the Tournament award. Markram smashed 296 runs across two Tests against West Indies and scored 25 runs in the third ODI. Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, and Anrich Nortje are among the best T20 cricketers going around in the world and would like to secure a series win against the Windies at home. On the other hand, West Indies will look to play aggressive cricket and the small ground at the Centurion could aid their batters.
