The Capitals who were led by Wayne Parnell, have arguably been of of the strongest team of the tournament. They were the first team to make it through to the semis and finished with 31 points and an impressive net run rate of +0.927. They will be entering the final on the back of a win against Paarl Royals in the semis. After putting up a decent score of 153 for eight on the board, they bowled the Royals out for 124 in 19 overs. Rilee Rossouw was named the Player of the Match for his 41-ball 56 and it was quite a dominant performance in the end, as they strolled their way into the finals.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, led by Aiden Markram, were hot and cold at the beginning season but came back strong towards the end of the league and booked their place in the semi-finals of the league. They finished third in the table after garnering 19 points from 10 matches courtesy of four victories. Sunrisers defeated Joburg Super Kings by 14 runs in the semi-final at SuperSport Park. Aiden Markram became the third batter after du Plessis and Heinrich Klaasen to score hundreds in the tournament. He also won the Player of the Match award for his scintillating batting performance. In the finals they would want some of their senior players to stand up and deliver at the top for the team.

The Voot and Jio TV app and website will both live stream the SA20 2023 whereas Sky Sports will live stream the tournament in the United Kingdom as well. The toss will take place at 7:30 PM IST and match will start at 8:00 PM IST.
