Papua New Guinea Women will face United States Women in the 5th Place Semi-Final 2 at the Tolerance Oval, Abu Dhabi on Friday. Papua New Guinea Women finished at the third spot in Group B points table after one win and two losses from their three games while the United States Women finished fourth with no wins from three games in Group A.

Group A will include Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, and the USA whereas Group B will feature Thailand, Zimbabwe, PNG, and UAE. The final match and the classification games will be played on September 25. The top two teams at the end of the tournament will qualify for the main tournament that will be held in South Africa in February 2023.
