The first of three one-day internationals (ODIs) between Pakistan and New Zealand will take place on January 9 (Monday) at Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena. At 3 PM IST, the opening ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand will get underway. In 2022, Pakistan defeated the Netherlands 3-0 in their final ODI series. On the other hand, New Zealand has recently performed remarkably well in the 50-overs portion of the game, defeating India 1-0 in their most recent home ODI series and going undefeated against Ireland and the Netherlands.
Since January 2021, New Zealand has not lost an ODI series, winning as many as six, with the exception of a defeat to Australia. Although none of these triumphs has taken place in Asia, New Zealand last travelled there for an ODI series in 2018, drawing the 50-over series 1-1 against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates. Since December 2003, they haven’t played an international one-day series in Pakistan.
