India will take on Australia in the second ODI of the three-match series in Visakhapatnam. It’s a must-win game for Australia, as a loss here will let India take an assailable lead in the series. Indian batting wasn’t very impressive but managed to get over the line in the first ODI at the Wankhade Stadium, riding on a sensational performance by KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja. Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav departed for low scores. The Indian bowlers were brilliantly led by Mohammad Shami who broke the back of the batting order and helped India restrict the Aussies to under 200 runs.

On the contrary, Australia had a poor game in Mumbai, Mitchell Marsh passed the Indian challenge with flying colours, amassing an aggressive 65-ball 81 including ten fours and five humongous sixes but apart from him none of the others went on to get any substantial score. The Australian think tank would make some changes and some better returns from their batters up the order. Travis Head, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis will need to step up and deliver as they have experience playing in these conditions during the Indian Premier League.
