Afghanistan and Pakistan are set to lock horns in the second encounter of the three-match T20I series on Sunday, the 26th of March at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. Afghanistan, led by Rashid Khan, started the series in a brilliant fashion, after winning the first match by 6 wickets and therefore taking a 1-0 lead in the series. This was also Afghanistan’s first-ever victory against Pakistan in international cricket. The 2nd T20I promises to be yet another exciting contest between these two rival nationals. In the 1st T20I, Pakistan handed T20I caps to four of their newcomers – Ihsanullah, Tayyab Tahir, Zaman Khan, and Saim Ayub but the tactic backfired as Pakistan lacked experience. They could only muster 92/9 in 20 overs. Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Mohammad Nabi picked up two wickets apiece. Ihsanullah picked up two wickets in his very first over at the international level, but the Afghans chased down the target with 13 balls to spare. With Afghanistan being reduced to 45 for four in 9.4 overs, Nabi and Najibullah Zadran put on 53 runs for the fifth wicket. Nabi stood out with the bat after he scored 38 runs with three fours and a six. Pakistan will be looking to level the series and take it to the decider at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
This series will not be telecasted live on TV but will be live-streamed on the Fancode app. The toss will take place at 9:00 PM IST and the Match will start at 9:30 PM IST on Sunday, the 26th of March.
