In the second T20I of the series, New Zealand and India will face off on Sunday, November 20, at Mount Maunganui. The Indian team will be captained by Hardik Pandya, and the New Zealand team will be led by Kane Williamson. Senior players like KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma won’t be participating in this series. The Indian team’s vice-captain will be Rishabh Pant. The Men in Blue sent a brand new team to these T20I matches, with a good mix of young and seasoned players, and they summoned back Shreyas Iyer to the T20I setup. Shubman Gill will be the player to keep an eye on in this series as he too has the chance to establish himself.

Given that they are playing at home, New Zealand will be confident about their chances in this series. After losing to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup Semifinals, New Zealand enters this game looking to rebound and make a significant statement in this series. Although New Zealand’s batting is still not completely resolved, their bowling unit appears to be strong. The bowlers chosen for this team are Lockie Ferguson, Adam Milne, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Blair Tickner, and Mitchell Santner. We can only hope that it doesn’t rain during the game so that we can have a complete game tomorrow.
