A three-match ODI series will take place between Netherlands and England at the VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen where the first match will be played on Friday (June 17). All the three matches will take place at the same venue where the third and final ODI will be played on June 22 as well and the second match will take place on June 19. However, the series was earlier slated to take place in 2021 but due to COVID-19 complications, it didn’t take place at that time and later it was rescheduled to be played this year as well.

However, in their last ODI series, the Netherlands lost to West Indies 3-0 at the same venue and this time, they will try to improve their performances in both departments. Fred Klaassen and Max O’Dowd are likely to hold the key for them. Meanwhile, they won’t get the service of Colin Ackermann, Brandon Glover, Paul van Meekeren and Roelof van der Merwe, who are the county-contracted players as well. On the other hand, England will play in this format after a long time. They won 3-0 against Pakistan in July last year as well. While England are the favourites, Liam Livingstone and Jos Buttler have been in terrific form and will try to keep the momentum on.
