Nepal women’s team created an unwanted record on Saturday as they were bundled out for eight runs in an U-19 World Cup qualifiers match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday. Interestingly, the match came to a swift end as after Nepal was bundled out in 8.1 overs, it took UAE only seven deliveries to chase down the total.

Nepal won the toss and opted to bat in a match to forget. Their innings was cut short with six of their batters being dismissed for a duck with Sneha Mahara and Maneesha Rana adding 3 and 2 runs respectively while Kiran Kumari Kunwar, Anu Kadayat and Ashma Pulami Magar added a run each to the total.
UAE seamer Mahika Gaur was the pick of the bowlers as she returned figures of 5/2. She was also helped on by Indhuja Nandakumar as she scalped three wickets to help the cause. Samaira Dharnidharka, meanwhile, picked up 1 wicket with her only bowl of the match.
In the chase for UAE, openers Theertha Satish, scored 4 off 4 balls and Lavanya Keny (3 off 4 balls), to seal a 10-wicket win at Bangi, Malaysia. A total of 13 batters took guard in the match with only three scoring more than the extras conceded by a hapless Nepal cricket team.
