Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a poor season after they let go of their start player Rashid Khan. The franchise has suffered a string of humiliating defeats over the last two years. The Sunrisers have changed many captains over the years and haven’t been able to get a settled line up. SRH were in the headlines for a variety of reasons. But, in the fifteenth season of the league, SRH were poor under Kane Williamson, they won only six of 14 matches this season. Willimson has a poor season personally with the bat as well, which affected the team in a big way. Following the team’s terrible performance in 2022, the franchise released Kane Williamson and head coach Tom Moody. Brian Lara is set to be the new head coach of the team and they are yet to take a call on who is going to lead the side.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the number one contented who could lead they side. SRH baggged Mayank Agarwal among the long list of player they picked in the IPL auction. Harry Brook was bought for a whopping sum of INR 13.25 crore, Mayank Agarwal was picked for INR 8.25 crore. On Heinrich Klaasen, SRH spent the 3rd highest amount of INR 5.25 crore. Adil Rashid, Mayank Markande, Vivrant Sharma, Samarth Vyas, Sanvir Singh, Upendra Yadav, Mayank Dagar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Akeal Hosein and Anmolpreet Singh were also picked by the franchise.
