Royal Challengers Bangalore have the biggest fan following amongst all the IPL franchises. RCB have made it to the qualifiers on several occasions but have failed to win the title. They will keep their hopes alive of winning their maiden IPL trophy with some strength added to their squad after the IPL auction 2023. Virat Kohli stepped down as RCB’s skipper at the end of the IPL 2021 season. However, he continues to stay a part of the team and will play under the leadership of captain Faf du Plessis, who led the side to the Qualifiers where they lost to Rajasthan Royals.

England batter Will Jacks was bagged by the Challengers for Rs 3.2 crore alongside the tall and lanky left-arm seamer Topley for INR 1.90 crores. Topley swings the ball early on and is mighty effective in the death overs as well. The bid made for Jacks was RCB’s costliest buy in the IPL auction 2023, while Sonu Yadav, Manoj Bhandage and Himanshu Sharma were picked up for their base price of 20 lacks each. RCB would be hoping for Glenn Maxwell to recover in time for the upcoming season. The team looks well-balanced and 2023 could well be the year, where they lift the trophy.
