Mukesh Choudhary ruled out of IPL 2023

Chennai Super Kings' opening bowler Mukesh Choudhary has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury and will miss the entire season.

Chennai Super Kings got a big blow just days before theri first encounter with Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat on March 31 to kickstart the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. Chennai Super Kings’ opening bowler Mukesh Choudhary has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury and will miss the entire season. Choudhary was magnificent last season, he swung the ball both ways early on and troubled the batters, he was also excellent with his accurate yorkers in the death last season. Chennai Super Kings are yet to name a replacement for the left arm seamer.

Mukesh Choudhary becomes the second Chennai Super Kings player to be ruled out after New Zealand’s bowling all-rounder Kyle Jamieson. Mukesh bought by CSK for INR 20 lakh during the IPL 2022 mega auctions last year. The left arm pacer picked up 16 wickets from 13 matches, including a best of 4/46 at an economy of 9.32. Choudhary, however, has not played a competive game since the Vijay Hazare Trophy final for Maharashtra against Saurashtra on December 2, 2022 and is not nt match ready even if he manages to recover in time.

Sisanda Magala replaces Kyle Jamieson

South Africa all-rounder Sisanda Magala was bagged in as a replacement for Kyle Jamieson, Magala was fantastic in the recently concluded SA20 and also has been putting up consistant performances with ball for the South African national side, he bowls a heavy ball and hits the lengths hard which makes it tough for the batter to attack him. Magala has a bad of tricks as well, he has a very deceptive slower ball and can bowl yorkers at will.
