The third match of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 1, Saturday. However, all 10 franchises will compete in a total of 70 league games for the coveted trophy which will be played across two months followed by the playoffs as well.

Lucknow Super Giants had a great start as they finished third on the points table and headed into the playoffs as a well-rounded side as well last year. However, an off day against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator cost them the match. However, Lucknow depends on the all-rounders. However, they have retained most of their squad ahead of the 2023 season, despite releasing the veteran, Jason Holder as well.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals faced a major blow in the form of regular captain Rishabh Pant’s horrifying car accident which took place on December 31 and he has been ruled out of the tournament. And, now, David Warner is all set to lead them this season as well. Delhi Capitals made quite a few good picks in the mini-auction held in December. They bought England’s hard-hitting Phil Salt, veteran batter Manish Pandey, and pacer Mukesh Kumar among others to strengthen the squad ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
