India will lock horns with Australia in the 1st T20I of the 5-match series at the Dy Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. With the Women’s T20 World Cup 2022 around the corner it will be a great preparation for both sides. Team India will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar are out with injuries and have been replaced by some exciting prospects in the squad. Anjali Sarvani and Devika Vaidya are included in the side on the back of some brilliant performances in the recently concluded Women’s Challengers Trophy 2022.
Australia will be led by Alyssa Healy in the absence of regular skipper Meg Lanning. Rachael Haynes’ retirement has opened up some opportunities for some young players like Kim Garth and Phoebe Litchfield who get to represent Australia. All-rounder, Heather Graham has also been included in the squad after her impressive run at the WBBL 2022. Both teams are well matched up and this game promises to be a mouth-watering encounter.
