India will host South Africa for the first of three-match ODI series at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Thursday. The series will be a part of South Africa’s limited-over tour to India which included a three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series.
Temba Bavuma will lead the ODI squad while Shikhar Dhawan will be the incharge for the hosts. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Shahbaz Ahmed, Rajat Patidar, and Mukesh Kumar are among the six uncapped players in the Team India squad while South Africa have left out a couple of players from the T20I format for the ODI series. Andile Phehlukwayo and Janneman Malan will replace Tristan Stubbs and Rilee Rossouw in the ODI squad.
The Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow will be the host for the inaugural ODI contest between India and South Africa.
