India vs South Africa: M Chinnaswamy Stadium 'A Upper Stand' roof leakage picture causes havoc on social media

India and South Africa shared the T20I trophy after the fifth and final T20I at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore was called off due to rain. The match was initially cut short to 19 overs per side with India registering 28/2 in 3.3 overs after being put into bat. But some incessant rain, thereafter, saw the match being called off with umpires Anil Choudhary and KN Anantha Padmanabhan taking the final call.

The series ended level at 2-2 with the decider being washed out. Both the teams, thus, shared the trophy. However, it was a tough day for the cricket fans, who turned out in large numbers to support their teams against all the odds as there was a forecast of rain in Bangalore after 07:00 pm onwards. But to make things worse, the facilities at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium turned out to be a nightmare for the spectators. 

An Indian cricket fan — Tareque Laskar — who was present at the venue to witness the final T20I shared images of the roof leakage after the damage was supposedly caused due to the heavy rain. The images from the ‘A Upper Stand’ of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium went viral in minutes and caused a massive stir on Twitter. Check out some of the reactions below.
