Sky has been in belligerent form but Santner is one bowler who has kept him quiet
India will play New Zealand in the series-deciding third Twenty20 International on Wednesday, February 1 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Following a 21-run defeat in game one, the hosts responded with a six-wicket victory in game two to keep the series alive. On the other hand, the Kiwis shocked the Indian team by fighting hard while protecting only 100 runs. While the Indian bowlers had performed admirably in the previous game, the batting fell short. Suryakumar Yadav, who brilliantly applied the finishing touches, had the potential to knock the hosts off guard. The Men in Blue must strengthen their batting, which has been inconsistent throughout the series, before the final.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, India’s white-ball opening possibility, has been ruled out of the three-match T20I series against New Zealand due to a wrist injury. The 25-year-old has checked into Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy for an assessment of his ailment and subsequent rehabilitation. Gaikwad last played for Maharashtra against Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy. He scored 8 and 0 in that game and later informed the BCCI about his wrist injury. In fact, Gaikwad’s wrist is bothering him for the second time. With a similar ailment, he missed last year’s T20I against Sri Lanka. He also missed last year’s home ODIs against the West Indies after testing positive for Covid.

Conway struggles against off spinners. Hooda and and Sundar have bowled well to him in the series so far. In the third T20I, Pandya would hope that Conway is dismmsed cheaply.
