India will clash with Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23 in the ICC World T20 2022.
The schedule for the ICC World T20 2021 has come out. A blockbuster clash awaits cricket fans on October 23 with India taking on Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Australia will host the 2022 edition of the ICC World T20. Initially, the tournament was slated to be held in 2020. But, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event had to be postponed. Cricket Australia agreed to swap hosting with India in 2021. Recently, the ICC World T20 2021 was held in the UAE with Australia emerging victorious.
The tournament will be divided into two stages, similar to the ICC World T20 2021. The first round of qualifiers will see Sri Lanka and West Indies in two groups, joined by Namibia and Scotland. There will be two other teams that will come through from the qualifying stages of the ICC World T20.
Australia will begin its ICC World T20 2021 campaign against New Zealand in Sydney on October 22. It will be a repeat of the finals clash in Dubai, where Australia emerged victorious for the first time. India is in Group 2 with South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh and they will be joined by a qualifier.

The opening stages of the qualifying matches will be played in Kardinia Park in Geelong and Bellerive in Hobart. India will be playing their matches in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney. While they will play Pakistan and a team from the qualifiers in Melbourne, they will play Bangladesh in Adelaide. They will play another team from the qualifier in Sydney while they will clash against South Africa in Perth. Adelaide and Sydney will host the semi-final on November 9 and 10. Melbourne will host the final on November 13.
