Hobart Hurricanes will lock horns with the Adelaide Strikers in the 26th match of the Big Bash League 2022-23 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart in Perth. The Adelaide Strikers started the season brilliantly, winning their first 3 matches but their last 3 matches have resulted in a loss. The Strikers are sitting currently in the 4th position on the table with 6 points. The strikers are coming into this game on the back of an 8-run defeat against the Melbourne Stars. With the likes of Rashid Khan and Peter Siddle in the bowling department, ably supported by Thornton and Short which makes them one of the toughest bowling lineups to face in the tournament.

On the other hand, Hobart Hurricanes have had a poor start to the season, losing 3 of their 5 matches. They are languishing at the bottom of the table in the 10th position on the points table with just 2 points. The Hurricanes are entering this game on the back of a 62-run defeat against the Sydney Thunder. The left-arm unorthodox spin of Patric Dooley has been mighty effective in the tournament, he took a spectacular 4/16 against defending champions Perth Scorchers in their second game and has looked threatening in the other games as well. Tim David hasn’t lived up to the expectations of the team and will need to put in a strong performance in this game.
