Essex will host Hampshire in the County Championship 2022 Division One match starting from Saturday at the County Ground, Chelmsford. Hampshire are currently at the second spot in the County Championship Division One with 124 points after five wins, one draws and a solitary loss from their seven outings while Essex are at the sixth spot with two wins, one loss and three draws from their seven matches.
The County Championships 2022 began on April 7 and will run till September 26 with top sides battling it out for the Division One and Division Two championship. The 122nd edition of the County Championships 2022 will witness teams divided into divisions. Division One will feature Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire.
