Durban Super Giants will take on MI Cape Town in the 23rd Match of SA20 2023 at Kingsmead in Durban on February 2, Thursday. However, South Africa’s new major T20 competition, which is known as the SA20, started on 10th January 2023 with the game between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals in the inaugural tournament. Each team will play 10 matches in the group stage ahead of the playoffs which will be a double round-robin home-and-away format, with a total of six teams playing against each other in the first season.
On February 11, the final will take place at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg as well. Meanwhile, each club will take on the other twice throughout this time in this edition as well. Six locations have been decided as venues – Johannesburg, Centurion, Durban, Gqeberha, Paarl, and Cape Town. The teams taking part in the inaugural season of SA20 are Durban Super Giants, Johannesburg Super Kings, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Paarl Royals, MI Cape Town, and Pretoria Capitals as well. Notably, all six teams are owned by Indian Premier League franchises.
In India, Sports18 and Viacom18 Sports TV stations will live stream the SA20 2023 tournament as well. The Voot and Jio TV app and website will both live stream the SA20 2023 whereas Sky Sports will live stream the tournament in the United Kingdom as well.
