Holders Glamorgan will begin their title defence away against Derbyshire in the inaugural contest of the Royal London Cup 2022. Both teams are highly-affected by The Hundred 2022 calls. Glamorgan and Derbyshire are placed in Group B of the Royal London Cup 2022 alongside Essex, Yorkshire, Hampshire, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire and Worcestershire.
Glamorgan will be without the services of Michael Hogan and the injured Michael Neser. Timm van der Gugten and Jamie McIlroy are expected to open the bowling for the holders. Derbyshire, meanwhile, will be without Wayne Madsen, Leus du Plooy and George Scrimshaw as they will featuring for the Welsh Fire.
