Delhi Capitals spent the least amount of money in WPL 2023 auction, which took place in Mumbai earlier this year in February.
The Women’s Premier League’s (WPL) inaugural edition commenced on the 4th of march 2023 and the Delhi Capitals are one of the teams participating in the league and have picked a balanced squad in the Auction earlier this year, they have some of the best players from India and around the world, the Delhi Capitals will be led by Meg Lanning who is one of the best captains and players going around and will be coming into this tournament of the back of a successful run at the Women’s World Cup. The team has bagged Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues as well, who are stars of the Indian Women’s Cricket team.
Delhi Capitals (DC) spent the least amount of money in WPL 2023 auction, which took place in Mumbai earlier this year in February. DC spend 11.65 crores to buy 18 players in the auction. Jemimah Rodrigues was the most expensive player (2.20 cr) for the capitals. They have an exciting squad and will be looking to make it all the way to the finals this year. The WPL 2023 is played in a round-robin format, followed by playoffs, with 5 teams competing for the championship title. The league has attracted a lot of interest from cricket fans in India and around the world.
