The owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises continue to expand their business in the world of T20 leagues. The IPL franchise owners clean swept the purchase of the new franchises which are going to take part in Cricket South Africa’s new T20 league which will begin from January 2023.
Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are among the IPL franchises who have bought a new team in the new South African T20 League. It should also be noted that South Africa has opted out of the Australia ODI tour earlier to incorporate the inaugural season of their T20 league.
MI Cape Town have roped in a mix of youngsters and T20 specialists for the inaugural edition of the Cricket South Africa T20 League 2023. The T20 specialists include the likes of local fast bowling star Kagiso Rabada, spin ace Rashid Khan and hard-hitting batter Liam Livingstone.
