Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday quashed all the rumours surrounding their veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja with a statement from their official. It was speculated that Jadeja, who quit from the captaincy role in IPL 2022, is set to change his franchise after deleting all his posts related to CSK on his official Instagram handle.

A CSK official, on the basis of anonymity, quashed all the ‘rumour rift’ surrounding Jadeja and said that his decision to delete all the posts were personal and has nothing to do with the franchise. “See, this is a personal call by him. We are not aware of such kinds of incidents from our side. All OK. Nothing is wrong,” an official was quoted as saying by ANI.

Ravindra Jadeja quit CSK captaincy in IPL 2022

Jadeja had, incidentally, handed back the Chennai Super Kings captaincy to MS Dhoni in the middle of the season. The all-rounder took the decision to concentrate more on his game and requested Dhoni  to lead CSK. In return, the veteran wicket keeper-batter accepted the request in the larger interest and to allow Jadeja to focus on his game.

Jadeja took the decision after leading the defending champions for eight games in the IPL 2022. Under his captaincy, CSK won two out of their eight games, and currently sit at the ninth spot in the 10-team tournament. Dhoni had decided to step down as the captain before the start of the season after leading the franchise for 15-straight years.
