Bangladesh will take on England in the third T20 International on Tuesday, March 14. England experienced a blow after losing the first two games of the series. After making history by winning their first-ever bilateral series against England, hosts Bangladesh will be eyeing to earn a series whitewash when they face each other in the third and final of the T20I series at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Bangladesh won both games chasing, In the 1st game they won the first match by 6 wickets and the second one by 4 wickets.

The Bangladeshi bowlers have been extremely disciplined, their batting unit has contributed significantly, led by the in-form Najmul Hossain Shanto who is carrying his brilliant form from the Bangladesh Premier League. Shakib Al Hasan has been the pick of the players for Bangladesh and has also led the team brilliantly. Bangladesh will hope to continue their dream run by completing a historic whitewash of the defending T20 World Champions. The Pitch at the Shere Bangla Stadium will be a tricky one, there will be plenty of spin on offer and the dry and low pitch condition will favour the hosts once again.

On the other hand, England were poor throughout the T20 series, failing to accelerate in the slog overs in the first game, the visitor’s batting performance in the second game was even worse, failing to cross the 120-run mark. However, the bowling front did really well to make a match out of the below-par scores. Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali have performed well but the likes of Sam Curran and Chris Woakes haven’t shown promise with the ball. In the two games, Chris Jordan was way too underutilized. The tactic to drop Jos Buttler down in the order backfired and he might get back to the top of the order. Dawid Malan did well in the ODIs but his T20I performances so far in the series don’t show any promise. Phil Salt and Ben Duckett have looked the best of all. Rehan Ahmed will continue to play but Archer might get a rest with Mark Wood getting another opportunity in the tour.
