At the Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Australia will welcome Pakistan in the third Twenty20 International in the three-match series on Saturday, January 29. With the help of a good bowling performance and accurate hits from Beth Mooney, Australia defeated Pakistan in a T20 series. The Australians will be flying high after a dominant win and hoping to win the series 3-0. In order to achieve their first victory, Pakistan will try to defeat the Women in Yellow. With 86 balls remaining, Australia defeated a meagre 119-run total to win the first game by eight wickets. After struggling during the India series, Megan Schutt found her form again and returned with a five-wicket haul. The numbers she had in her four-over spell were 5/15 which helped Australia limit Pakistan to mere 118 runs in their 20 overs.

In their most recent T20I series, the Women in Yellow defeated India 4-1 thanks to their current dominance in the 20-over version of the game. They will want to keep winning when they take on Pakistan Women in the T20s because they have a solid record against them. Pakistan Women are currently in eighth place in the Women’s T20I rankings and are currently on a losing streak. Prior to this one, they had lost their series with Ireland. The visitors will now play the top-ranked team away from home as the underdogs in this series. Unless Pakistan pulls off a surprise, Australia will be the clear favourite to win both this match and the series.

Pitch

Hobart’s pitch is usually good for batting because it has an even bounce and is flat. The pacers will be a threat in the first few overs and will be essential with the new ball. The batters will benefit from the fast outfield on this surface. The teams chasing have done exceptionally well in recent games on this soil, therefore the skipper who wins the toss may choose to chase.
