The second and final test between Australia and West Indies is set to be played on the 8th of December at the Adelaide Oval. It will be a day-night test where the pink ball will be used. Australia won the first test with a 164-run margin. West Indies batted well but it was just a very big task for them in Australian conditions. Marnus Labuschagne was the star with the bat as he smashed 204 runs in the first innings and followed up with a century in the 2nd innings. Steve Smith also scored a double hundred in the 1st innings as well. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins scalped three wickets each in the 1st innings, along with Nathan Lyon bagged 2 wickets. In the 2nd innings, Lyon was the star as he took 6 wickets.

For the Windies, on the other hand, Kraigg Brathwaite top-scored with 110 runs in the 2nd innings. Kraigg Brathwaite scored 64 runs in the 1st inning as well while debutant Tagenarine Chanderpaul was very impressive, he scored 51 runs while opening the innings. Roston Chase scored 55 runs along with Alzarri Joseph chipping in with 43 runs in the 2nd innings but in the end, the target proved too much for the visiting team. West Indian bowling was disappointing. While Jayden Seales and Kyle Mayers picked up 1 wicket each in the first innings along with Brathwaite picking up two, Kemar Roach and Roston Chase were the only wicket-takers in the 2nd innings with 1 wicket each. The bowling for the visitors needs to stand up in the 2nd Test and put in a better performance.
