New Zealand will tour Pakistan for a two-match Test series followed by a three-match ODI series. The Kiwis will finally arrive in Pakistan after pulling out of the tour last year due to security concerns. Kane Williamson stepped down from the captaincy role earlier this month and Tim Southee will take charge of the team for the two Tests in Karachi. Babar Azam will lead the Pakistan side and they will look to bounce back after a humiliating 3-0 loss in the test series against England. Pakistan has slipped down in the WTC points table and will be desperate to pull things back.
The first Test will begin on the 26th of December and will be followed by a Test in Multan, scheduled to start on the 3rd of January. Kane Williamson will lead the New Zealand ODI. 3 ODIs will be played on the 10th, 12th and 14th of January. Pakistan is a very strong side when it comes to the shorter format and will start as strong favourites in home conditions. New Zealand is a formidable unit in both formats and is set to put up a strong fight. The series promises to be a very entertaining one with some high-octane drama ready to unfold.
