Born on March 3rd, 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Brandy Cole and Justin Tatum, Jayson went to Chaminade College Prep School where he had an excellent high school career, averaging as many as 29,6 points in addition to 9.1 rebounds, making his way to the state championship. He also bagged the 2016 Gatorade National Player of the Year Award, then he played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils.
