Only the match between the host nation and the huge underdog Netherlands (14:00 CET) will determine the last playoff position, barring Finland losing to them. The calculations would begin if the Netherlands defeated Finland. Finland, the Czech Republic, and Israel would all have a win-loss record of two and three if the Czech Republic went on to defeat Israel.

Croatia needs to win

Croatia, Ukraine, and Italy will finish second, third, and fourth in the division, respectively. If Italy defeats Great Britain in the final match of the day, the exact locations will be known after the Croatia-Ukraine game at 14:15 CET today. To avoid playing Serbia in the Round of 16 from the fourth spot, Croatia needs to win. The squad captained by Nikola Jokic would be the opponent in this scenario. Ukraine would claim the second slot in the group if Croatia doesn’t defeat them by at least eight goals. If they do win by at least 8, Croatia moves up to second, Ukraine drops to third, and Italy falls to fourth.
