Sweden will take on Israel in the 2025 EuroBasket World Cup Qualifiers on November 14. Germany defeated Finland to become the second team from Group J to earn a spot in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2023. With a victory, Slovenia moved one step closer to the show, but Sweden kept its chances. Germany defeated Finland convincingly at home, 94-80, to join Finland in qualifying for the World Cup. By defeating Israel 75-62 on the road, third-placed Slovenia increased the pressure on their rivals. Sweden earned a victory on the road as well, defeating Estonia 87-82 to maintain their World Cup contention.
With their 94-80 victory over Finland, Germany moved into the top position in Group J and joined Finland in securing a spot in the World Cup. In the second and third quarters, Germany went on a 17-1 run to take a double-digit lead, and after three quarters, the margin had grown to 17 points. Every time Finland attempted to make a comeback, Germany had a response. With four players scoring in double digits, Germany, who will compete in the World Cup for the seventh time in the previous six tournaments, advanced to 8-1.

Justus Hollatz scored 18 points, and had 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Robin Christen scored 15 points. David Kramer and Christian Sengfelder both scored 19 points. Finland’s seven-game winning streak was broken, dropping them to 7-2. With 20 points and Edon Maxhuni adding 15, Alex Murphy took the lead. Slovenia defeated Israel 75-62 in Tel Aviv, advancing significantly closer to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. Late in the third quarter, an 11-0 run gave the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 winners a 15-point advantage and gave them control of the game. Israel battled to cut the deficit to four points but was unable to finish the comeback.
