Sweden vs Germany FIBA World Cup Qualifiers game will be held on August 25, i.e on Thursday at Hovet. It’s been eight years since Svi Mykhailiuk paid tribute to Ukraine’s senior team in their first appearance at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. Just 17 years old, Mykhailiuk, who has played very little, is definitely a rising star in his country and has been sent to the United States by NCAA powerhouse Kansas in hopes of reaching the NBA. was ready to embark on a college basketball adventure. Mykhailiuk is now 25  years old with his current team, Toronto. He has several years of experience in the NBA, including with the Raptors. He is the star of the Ukrainian team who is having one of its busiest months in history.

The European qualifiers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup will take place against Italy (24 August) and Iceland (27 August) before his FIBA EuroBasket Group C campaign begins on 2 August in Milan. With matches against Estonia, followed by Italy, Greece, and Croatia, Muhayluk will be the center of attention for his country.  “I’m going to play hard and win every game I can,” he said. “Anything is possible in EuroBasket. We have one of the best Ukrainian teams in history and I feel we can surprise a lot of people and show a really good result.” He did not qualify for EuroBasket. But there is no doubt that the Circassian will be important to the team. With 18.5 points per game, he leads Ukraine in the European qualifiers for the 2019 World Cup, and  18.3 points per competition is Ukraine’s number one in the European qualifiers for next year’s World Cup.

“That’s my role,” he said. “I was brought here to win games and help the team, not necessarily by scoring, but to help in any way I could. Play on defense, make the right choices on offense, and score goals. Decide and make an open shot for your teammate. I will do my best for Ukraine’s victory. Mihaj Lük said that under former coach Mike his Fratello he almost didn’t make it to the 2014 World Cup in his Cup, but he will never forget this competition. “It was a wonderful experience,” he said. “It was my first time playing against them, even just playing against the United States. Being 17 years old and being a part of it was a great moment, something you only get every four years these days. There are limited ways to make it, but I’m trying to make it again, and for  others who are trying  it, it’s a huge deal.”
