The Seattle Storm will travel to the Michelob Arena for Game 2 of their second-round series against the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday. The 2020 champions were able to squeeze their way to a 76-73 win in Game 1 of the series.
Jewell Loyd was the star of the night for the Storm. The guard scored 26 points and made 4 assists in 38 minutes. Breanna Stewart also had a great game as she added 24 points against the Aces in Game 1. Sue Bird scored only 2 points, but she made her presence felt by bagging 12 assists on the night. Veteran Tina Charles had a double-double as she racked up 13 points and bagged 18 rebounds in 29 minutes of action. The team from Seattle will be hoping to carry their momentum into Game 2 of the series. They have an experienced side and that will certainly prove to be a big advantage for them against the Aces.
However, the team from Las Vegas are not going to give up that easily. They have worked hard all season to reach this point and they will be looking to put on a fight when they take the court on Wednesday. Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray had stellar performances for the Aces in Game 1. Plum added 20 points while Gray scored 21 for them. The duo will be looking to continue their brilliance and help the team get beyond the line in Game 2.
The Seattle Storm have listed Gabby Wiliams as out for Game 2 due to concussion protocols, They have also reported Mercedes Russell to be indefinitely out as she is ruled out of the season. The Las Vegas Aces will have all their players available for selection when they take the court on Wednesday.
