Lithuania vs Croatia 2022 FIBA U-18 European Championship will be held on August 1. The first day of the FIBA U18 European Championship had several blowouts, with France, Spain, and Turkey winning by at least 45 points. France opened the tournament with a 97-45 win over Great Britain. All 12 players scored for France, with the top scorer being Daryl Doualla with 13 points. France only led 19-15 after one quarter, but Great Britain never got that close again. France dominated the second and third quarters, outscoring them 60-16.

In their game against Great Britain, France got more points from their bench players (51) than Great Britain scored as a team. The other Group A game was a lot closer, with Israel defeating North Macedonia 79-70.  Three-point shooting and turnovers proved to be key factors in the game. Israel outscored North Macedonia by 15 from behind the arc and forced 17 turnovers, while only committing 6 turnovers themselves. Four players scored in double figures for Israel, led by Noam Yaacov who put up a solid all-around game with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals on 8-of-12 shooting from the field.
