Every Los Angeles Lakers fan would be hoping that their team would be the team they expected after trading in star point Guard Rusell Westbrook. The Lakers looked to be solid and deadly with the trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Rusell Westbrook in the mix. Despite the Lakers having these three star players they failed to live up to the expectations as the Lakers have been down on their performances.

The recent outing where the Lakers travelled to Denver to take on the Nuggets for the first time, were beaten by the nuggets 133-97. The Lakers stand 8th on the western conference points table with 21 wins and 22 losses.

LeBron James was in silence after the game as he did not talk to the media after the game and broke his silence on Sunday via his official Twitter account and his point was clear that he wanted to apologise to the fans for the team’s performance.

Will LeBron James rise up to his promise?

The good news for the Lakers fans is that Anthony Davis is set to return from his injury by the end of January as things can get better for the Lakers with his presence on the court.

Anthony Davis is having probably one of his worst seasons since his rookie season and his jump shot has been the worst this season. The fans will be hoping that Davis gives his best on his return.

The presence of Rusell Westbrook has not paid any dividends for the Lakers as Westbrook is not living up to his expectations. He has struggled to play the brand of basketball that he used to play. Unless and until the team does pull off a massive multi-team trade, but chances are that Westbrook is not going anywhere.

The Lakers despite having an easy schedule are unable to perform and beat top quality teams in the conference up until this point. The Lakers are ranked 23rd in the list of Basketball references simple rating system and the data says that this is the worst team LeBron has played since his days at Cleveland.

LeBron James has been playing out of his skin the whole season averaging 28.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists over 36.7 minutes per game.

The fans will be hoping that LeBron James and his co can come good in the games to follow and turn things around for the Lakers.
